Stephen advises our team on portfolio company exit planning and strategy and investments in the Philippines.

Stephen is currently an independent director to Maharlika Investment Corporation, the sovereign wealth fund of the Philippines.  Stephen has had over 20 years of investment banking experience, advising companies across Asia Pacific on M&A and capital market transactions. His last role was as Chairman & CEO of Evercore Asia.  Previously, he also held leadership roles at Macquarie Group, Merrill Lynch and Salomon Brothers, amongst other investment banks.

He serves or has served on the board of directors of Cebuana Lhullier Services, Century Pacific Food, First Philippine Holdings Corporation, Aboitiz Equity Ventures, the New York Philharmonic, amongst many other prominent Philippines and global companies.  Stephen is also a frequent contributor on Philippines television broadcaster, ABC-CBN, where he discusses politics and business.

He holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania, a Juris Doctorate with honours from Ateneo School of Law, Philippines and a Bachelor's of Arts from Ateneo De Manila University, Philippines.
