Hian co-founded Openspace in 2014 and is based in Singapore. He is a member of our Openspace Ventures and Openspace Growth Funds Investment Committees and our Executive Committee.

Previously, he was a founder, having built and sold Asian Food Channel to US media giant, Scripps Interactive (now Warner Brothers Discovery Inc.). Prior to this, he was a technology investment banker at SG Warburg (now UBS) and Salomon Smith Barney (now Citi).

Outside of Openspace, Hian sits on the A*STAR portfolio management committee, was previously on the Board of the Singapore Science Centre and is a Kaufmann Fellow.

He holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Law Degree from Trinity College, Oxford.
